| I welcome the opportunity to come and speak to your church or religious group and address the ideas of wellness from a biblical standpoint. This is the manner in which true wellness was introduced into my spirit…Through the Word of God. The industry of health and wellness has broken it down in an amazing and insightful manner to enhance my knowledge in the area, but God has a message for me share with you that will take you one step further in this life and life eternal. The book of Romans Chapter 12: 1-4 encompasses my overall personal mission in life and the principles I wish to use to enlighten my clients, family, friends, audience members, and passersby. It states: 1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. We must value the body that we have. It is our one and only shell. In it we live, move and have our being. In order to live a full healthy life we have to be willing to sacrifice temporary pleasures. Whether it is unhealthy foods, drink, or physical behaviors, we must look at our actions in the body as a direct expression of love or dishonor to the one who created us. If you gave someone a home wouldn’t you look at how they live in that home to determine how much they truly valued the gift? 2And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The most significant change required when we desire to see a new beginning in our life is an attitude adjustment. You can not put new wine into old wine skins and there is no way you will be able to live well mind, body, and spirit if you do not seek a renewing of your mind. When you determine for your mind to be renewed and look to God for the power of the transformation you will begin to live out that purpose that has been ordained or assigned to your life. 3For I say to every man that is among you, through the grace given unto me, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. There is no way you can live this life and think that you are without fought or mistake. No one is perfect. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. However by faith you can trust that God will forgive you when you confess your sins/imperfections. He wants you to continue to strive to be your best through Christ who strengthens you . 4For as we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office, No two people are alike. Thank goodness. We all need each other. You have something I need and I have something you need. When you don’t actively seek out your purpose or live in your strengths and skills, the world is incomplete. We must all seek to determine what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God for each of our lives and then share that blessing with as many people as possible . I once heard a minister pose the question “are you in a job or in your ministry?” There is truly nothing better than realizing that the job you have allows you to carry out the ministry and purpose God has ordained for your life. I truly believe God is using my love and interest in wellness to promote a ministry of wholeness for every person I come in contact with. Whether it is for a moment or if the relationship has continued on and grown from client to friend, I am honored to be used by God to bless and empower His people My Prayer for You I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength. (Ephesians 1:17-19) |
